･ Export: Choose "Exportﾉ" from the "File" menu to create a tab-delimited text file suitable for importing into database applications.
･ Find All: Choose "Find All" from the "Image" menu to display every item in the current catalog.
･ Delete: Deleting a thumbnail doesn't remove the thumbnail immediately--it marks the thumbnail for deletion later, when the window is closed.
･ Undelete: You can undelete a thumbnail by selecting it and choosing "Undelete" from the "Edit" menu. You cannot undelete a thumbnail after you close the window, however.
･ Dragging a thumbnail now drags a full-color image, rather than a simple gray outline.
･ Potentially lengthy operations, such as sorting, present a progress dialog.
･ File sizes in the List View are reported in K and MB. Exact file sizes in bytes appear in the Get Info floating palette.
･ File kind information (e.g., PICT,GIFf,EPSF) appears in both Gallery and List Views.
･ Find: You can search for specific file kinds using the Find dialog. You must type the EXACT 4 letters (upper and lower-case sensitive) of the file kind you wish to find. 'PICT' is not the same as 'pict'.

"Drag and Place" works with both QuarkXPress version 3.x and the soon-to-be-released 3.2. If you have version 3.0 - 3.1x you will need to install our XTension into your QuarkXPress folder. Just drag the "Kudo XT" file to your QuarkXPress folder and restart Quark. Version 3.2 will require no special XTensionﾑit just works!
Use Kudo's new Export feature to automate repetitive image layouts! A Quark XTension called "XData" (available from XChange) can read Kudo's export file and use the information it provides to help you create large documents.

"Drag and Place" works with PageMaker version 4.2 and up. It ought to work with PageMaker 5.0 as well, but we have done no extensive testing.

###General Notes:

･ There are some text translators that will prevent Kudo from being able to translate PC image files (because the text translators confuse PC graphics files with PC text files). This is a limitation of Apple (formerly Claris) XTND, not Kudo Image Browser.
･ We have reduced our ram requirments in our translators with this release and will continue to in future releases, as well as adding additional file format support.
･ Under very low memory conditions printing from Kudo Image Browser with the "Color/Grayscale" option will result in a "snowy" page. Your catalog is fine; however, color printing uses a lot of memory. Please quit Kudo Image Browser and increase its memory allocation (using "Get Info" from the Finder) and then try to print again.
･ Scanning very large PICT files can result in missing the file altogether. If a PICT file is too large for the available memory, then you will not get a thumbnail or the "Out of Memory" thumbnail. This will be fixed in the next release.
･ Placing an image that PageMaker or Quark does not recognize can cause unexpected results. For Example: placing a gif file into PageMaker will result in text (not an image, as you would expect) being imported into PageMaker. This is a PageMaker or Quark weakness. In the future we may have something to overcome this.
･ The help balloons are wrong for the "Add/Update" dialog.
･ The "Stop" button on the progress window only works between translations of files -- press Return or click "Stop" to stop updating after the current file is completed.
･ If you have two monitors and the main monitor has fewer colors than the second, some "trails" will be evident while dragging thumbnails on the second monitor.
